It is a relationship of trust temporary (and sometimes fleeting) and reciprocal (the leader must have confidence in the group that the majority of the group has confidence in him).
It is manifested by its ability to unite and mobilize the energies around a collective action. It translates to an election, whether formal or informal, explicit or implicit, in which the majority of the members of the group recognize one of their own as the legitimate leader and delegate its decision-making power (freedom to decide).
